ROWS OF SQUARES

I used the new Rows of Squares 3D Embossing Folder to make my first card. Such designs are very versatile and totally qualify to become a staple in your craft stash.

To make the background I blended the Fresh Leaf Dye Ink onto a white panel, then I embossed it using the folder and blended some more Fresh Leaf Dye Ink onto it to highlight the embossed design. For more interest water and white spray splatters were added.

I used the Misty Meadows Washi Tape to create the foliage, which I first adhered onto a white cardstock and then cut out using scissors. After that I adhered them onto the panel. Which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base.

To make the sentiment I used the Family Matters Stamp Set. I white embossed mother onto a white cardstock which I then “colored” by swiping the Fresh Leaf Dye Ink all over it. After that I cut t out. The rest of the sentiment I white embossed onto a black cardstock.

Popped up sentiment and several gold sequins finished off the card.

MODERN SQUARES

The new Modern Squares 3D Embossing Folder is featured in my second card.

To make the background first inked one side of the folder before the embossing using the Dark Chocolate Dye Ink. Then I embossed a Parchment panel using the folder. The ink was transferred from the embossing folder onto the cardstock creating interesting “letter pressed” (only without actual letters) effect.

I used the Under The Cherry Blossom Tree Stamp Set and the set of matching dies to create the branches. Which were stamped onto a Parchment cardstock as well.

To make the sentiment the Thinking Of You Stamp Set was used.

I popped up all the elements onto the panel (using black adhesive foam squares) followed by foam mounting the panel onto a white card base.

Several brown sequins finished off the card.
