Altenew | Hidden Sentiment Bee Happy Card

Hello friends!

Hidden sentiment is probably one of my favorite techniques. Today I want to share a card featuring this technique along with this month Altenew Mini Delight: Bee Kind product. Mini Delight is line of mini stamp & die products released monthly.

This month product features a very cool and realistic bee. What is great about it that despite the product being a “mini” the bee size is quite decent, I also like that the design is quite realistic.

I started making the card by stamping the front panel design. I paired the Mini Delight Set with the Sophisticated Wreath Stamp Set which I stamped around the bee.

After stamping I die cut the word BEE out of the panel using des from the Bold Alphabet Die Set. I also made same die cuts out of yellow and brown cardstock to add dimension to the letters. For each letter I made 7 yellow die-cuts and 2 brown ones. To create each letter I stacked the die cuts using liquid adhesive in the following order – 4 yellow2. 2 browns, 3 yellows, die cut made out of the panel. So eventually the dimension of the sentiment looked like a bee butt – yellow and brown stripped.

Next I made a yellow card base and adhered a brown panel (a quarter of an inch smaller in each direction) onto it. After that I trimmed my stamped panel a quarter inch smaller than the brown panel and adhered it onto the card. Followed by adhering the letters into the corresponding negative die cuts.

Lastly I made a label HAPPY using the Label Love Clear Stamp Set and popped it up onto the card.
