PINE CHRISTMAS CARD

For my first card I used the new Classic Pine Stencil Bundle. Vintage style called my name when I was brainstorming a card for this set. I don’t make vintage cards often these days, but I have a sweet spot for this style in my heart.

To start off I made a Parchment panel (Parchment is the name of kraft cardstock from Altenew). Then I blended the Dark Chocolate Ink onto the panel through the Classic Pine Stencil 1 (with the pines). Next, with the stencil still “attached” to the panel I blended the Embossing Ink on top. I removed the stencil, poured Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set it.

After that I did all the same with the Classic Pine Stencil 2 (the one with the pine branches). This time I used the Evergreen Ink. And again I covered this layer with Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder.

Then I blended the Dark Chocolate Ink onto the panel edges. Followed by adding the Pure White Ink Spray splatters.

I’ve foam mounted the panel onto a Parchment card base using black adhesive foam squares.

I made the sentiment parts in Evergreen using the Halftone Holidays stamps and dies and popped them up onto the card.

On the photo above you can see all that shine that I got from the Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder.

SCANDINAVIAN SNOWFLAKE CHRISTMAS CARD

The Diamond Snowflakes Stencil reminds me Scandinavian motifs and I wanted to make something cozy using it.

Here again I started with the Parchment panel. I placed the stencil onto it and applied the Embossing Paste through it onto the top part of the panel.

Then I colored some paste with the Crimson Liquid Watercolor and applied it onto the rest of the card in a gradient manner.

I tied a twine around the panel and popped up the sentiment onto it.

Lastly I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.

FLORAL CARD

I’m in love with the new type of product – die cut tape. Which is basically like a decal in a cardmaking size and delivered in a roll. For me next card I used the Bouquet Die Cut Tape.

This die cut tape is basically all you need to make an awesome card. Just adhere it onto the card and you’re done.

Which I did basically. With the exception that I decided to add some interest to the background. I’ve blended blue and black inks onto a white panel with the darker inks towards the bottom and almost no ink in the top part.

Then I sprayed the panel with water using my Distress Sprayer and splatted it with the Pure White Ink Spray.

After that I adhered the tape onto the panel and foam mounted it onto a white card base.

Lastly I popped up the sentiment in red and added several Snow Crystals.

SYMPATHY CARD

For my last card I used the Vibrant Spray Die Cut Tape. As you can see I made a very simple sympathy card using it.

It’s interesting that the design of this tape can work both for sympathy and wedding cards. At least that’s how I see it.

The card was very simple to make.

I’ve adhered the tape pieces onto a light blue panel. The width of the tape is narrower than the card base so I needed to apply it twice, from the top and from the bottom edges of the card meeting in the middle.

I’ve masked the meeting area with a popped up stripe of the same cardstock where I stamped the sentiment.
