BUILD-A-FLOWER: FUCHSIA

Here is the card I made using the new set. Very simple. Good old stamping + good old ink blending.

Fuchsia Flower Thank You Card. Card by Svitlana Shayevich

I’ve stamped the flowers using red and gray inks and die cut them using the matching dies. I used very light gray Limestone Ink for the “white” parts and only stamped one layer, to make them as white as possible and at the same time to add some “shading”.

Then I stamped and die-cut a bunch of leaves.

I blended some Sea Breeze Ink onto a white panel, doing my blending mostly in the top part, toning it down to wards the middle of the panel with no blending at all in the bottom part. Next I slightly sprayed the blending with clear water using my Distress Sprayer.

After that I adhered the flowers onto the panel. Which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base.

I white embossed a sentiment onto a Jet Black cardstock, cut it out and popped it up onto the card.

Which I finished off by adding several clear droplets.

You did an amazing job. Love your red and gray on the flower. The gray does look almost stark white, just perfect because there is no perfect “white” flower. If you look at it very closely at a white flower there is hint of gray. Your colors and your use of the pale blue is so perfect.

The fustias are gorgeous. The limestone gray is perfect for the bottom portion of the flower. Also looks just right with the Rose/red tones of the rest of the flower.
