The Ton’s 4th Anniversary Blog Hop – Day 2

TIFFANY’S INSPIRED

For my card I used the new Gifted Stamp Set. This is such a great set packed with different gift boxes. Some of them can be stamped separately and there are also stamps to stamp a pile of boxes.

The idea of the card came to me from Tiffany’s commercial I saw all the time around the holidays. I wanted to make a pile of Tiffany’s (ish) boxes.

First I needed that signature Robin Egg color. Which I made my mixing Cali Blue and Lofty Mint Inks. By “mixing” I mean that I stamped the same image in one color and then right on top with another. Of course I used my stamp positioning tool for that. The exact recipe is that – I stamped one time with Lofty Mint and then twice with Cali Blue. This way I got the right amount of green undertone in blue color. I hope it makes sense.

For ribbons I went with silver embossing.

Then I had another problem. Since All my boxes were planned to be the same color – having them in one layer could make them look like one piece. So my solution to separate them was to have all boxes separately. So to make a pile there are three stamps with boxes and one stamp with all ribbons.

So I stamped all three box stamps separately, then I silver embossed ribbons and after that fussy cut all boxes.

I made a panel out of a light gray cardstock and adhered the boxes onto it forming a pile. Some boxes I adhered flat and some got foam mounted.

I also stamped a sentiment onto a white stripe of paper and adhered it onto the card. Lastly I added several silver crystals… Well, maybe not several but a bit more haha. I just wanted to add jewelry feel to the card. You may also notice that I added more bling when staged my photo.
