POTTED PLANTS
You’re looking at a winter loving person. Which means I hate everything related to summer and heat. Tropic theme though, especially as it’s still pretty trendy, I don’t hate lol. But I’m so very picky when it comes to tropical designs and patterns.
With that being said I really love the new Potted Plants Stamp Set. The fact it’s one of those I choose to work in this release proves it.
So first I stamped several plants using green inks. I was using a stamp positioning tool for stamping and first I stamped a plant with a lighter ink, then inked the stamp with a darker shade, dabbed off the ink in some areas using a paper towel and stamped again. It’s one of my favorite lazy ways to quickly add shading to a solid image.
Then I stamped the pots using the Paper Bag Dye Ink and colored them with Artist Markers.
Followed by adhering the plants onto the pots. I also colored the bottom parts of the plants so they look more like planted in soil.
I made a card base out of a Parchment Cardstock and adhered a white Cube Cover Die die-cut on top.
After that I foam mounted the plants onto the card, added a sentiment, white embossed in black, and several Onyx Crystals finished off the card.
LAYERED SNOWFLAKES
I already said it before and will say again – you can never have to many snowflakes. Stamps, dies, stickers, wood veneers – you name it! For my next card I used the new amazing Layered Snowflakes Die Set.
And I went with a bit of unusual color scheme. At least for me, I’m a pretty traditional when it comes to color combos.
So first I blended Dew Drops and Sand Dunes Dye Inks onto a white panel. After that I added Pure White Spray splatter and let it dry.
And then die-cut several snowflakes out of it. Despite the name these dies can be totally used in not layering manner.
I adhered the panel onto a white card base and adhered the snowflakes into their negative spaces. I only adhered centers of them leaving “branches” sticking up.
A simple white on black sentiment and several Snow Crystals finished off the card.
PEACEFUL WREATH
For my next card I used the new amazing Peaceful Wreath Stamp Set.
First I made a Wood Pallet Background onto a Parchment card base. By first stamping it with the Espresso Dye Ink and then blending the same ink on top.
I’ve splattered the Pure White Ink Spray onto it to add that winter feel.
I stamped the wreath onto a Solar White Cardstock and die-cut it using the matching die. I also die-cut the wreath shape out of a Vellum Paper. After that I adhered both wreathes onto the card with a small rotation one along another.
I also die-cut word peace out of Solar White Cardstock and Vellum Paper and adhered onto the card with a slight shift.
HOLIDAY COOKIES
For my last card I used very cute Peace Love Joy Stamp Set. When I first saw it – I immediately saw cookies in these shapes. So decided to make a holiday cookie baking scene with this set.
I made “cookies” by double white embossing heart and snowflake designs onto a Parchment Cardstock. After that I blended the Mocha Dye Ink on top (to brown the cookies) and die-cut with the matching dies.
I made a “baking table” the same way as I did the woodgrain background in the previous card. Clear embossed a sentiment, sprayed the “table” with the Pure White Spray (which would be flour) and ironed off the clear embossed sentiment.
Resisting the ink spray the clear embossing protected the cardstock underneath. I was going for “a word doodled with a finger in a flour on a table” kind of look doing all that.
To add more to this baking situation I adhered a couple of pieces of baking twine and foam mounted “cookies” onto the card. Lastly I added several Snow Crystals.
The very last moment I decided to film a video for this card. I happened to make similar designs (holiday cookies scene) quite often and thought – why not to film a video for this technique? So I did filmed it but haven’t finished my voice over just yet.
I hope to have it finished today by EOD.
It’s funny, that since I started making videos again. “Again” is probably a very strong word on this point as I only have like 7 videos under my belt in two months (8 with this one that I’m still making)
And I think i was only managed to finish a video on time for the corresponding blog post only 2 times. So it’s me – 2 : time – 6 haha Or I should rather say me – 2 : sleep- 6. When I realize I only have like 4 hours of sleep left (with days before lacking sleep too) and sounding like I talking from beyond the grave – I choose sleep over finishing a video lol.

What beautiful cards!! All your backgrounds are so different and they totally make the cards that much more stunning. I don’t even know where to start as they’re all so gorgeous. Love what you did with the green ink on the leaves of your potted plants card. The colour combinations of your snowflake card is just fabulous and I like how you only glued the centers of the snowflakes down. This gives nice dimension and texture as well. Your wreath is absolutely stunning and the vellum is a nice touch. Then there’s the cookie card. So creative and so perfect! I love that background with the light “flour dusting”
