Altenew • Stamp Focus – Oriental Orchid

Not very happy day today is. Devastated by horrific new from Paris…  My thoughts and prayers with all people of France.

I’m on Altenew blog today with a focusing post on new Oriental Orchid stamps set. I have a detailed description of how these cards were made and here just quickly show them.

This stamps set is amazing and so versatile! I am showing different ways you can use this set.

For the first card first I created velvety looking background, inking a Robin’s Egg cardstock and then sprinkled it with pearlized spray and added flowers and sentiment white embossed on vellum.

I like elegant look of these orchids, especially embossed on vellum. I think this design can be used for wedding projects.

For the next card I first stamped the stem with leaves and buds, fussy cut it. Next stamped and cut out each orchid separately. Stamped thank you sentiment from the same stamps set using ink, inked over using ink and cut out. Adhered all cut images to black cardstock panel along with some sequins and finally adhered the panel to a card base. For the third card first cut a panel from cardstock and added some ink droplets using crisp ink. Then stamped and cut out a lot of orchids, cut them and adhered to the panel in a shape of hanging down bouquet. Along with stamped I LOVE YOU sentiment on a white strip.  And as usual – some sequins as finishing touches.
