Today I wanna walk you through a couple of flowers cards.
The idea of the first one was pretty unusual. Hot pink flowers, framed in gold embossing on a dark blue glitter background. As often in my head the result would be more effective, but in real life it’s happened to be just OK.
Used painted flowers from Altenew (boy, they’re awesome!) and glitter cardstock from DCWV. I cut the background to pieces to add more interest, as when it comes to glitter cardstock it’s hard to do it some other way, like with stamping, small embellishments etc.
The second card looks like it was custom ordered in some print shop. It reminds me those factory made wedding invitation lol. But anyway…
The gold flowers are made from gold cardstock (also from DCWV) using negative diecuts. And the sentiment is gold embossing. So very clean and extremely gold card 😉
So, these are my flowers cards. In real live I’m not a big fan of flowers. Not like I hate them. I enjoy watching them when pass a flower shop, I like how they smell. But if I don’t get them as a present – I’m OK. I do not have them in pots. I like them when see them and is OK if do not see them. But when if comes to cards… flowers are ones from my favorite stamps. And i possess a lot of flowers stamps and dies.
