TRAVEL THEMED AIRPLANE CARD
I’ve always had a soft spot for travel-themed designs. There’s something about their classic, lightly vintage vibe that draws me in (I do love all things vintage!). And really—who doesn’t love the idea of travel? The only catch is… I don’t travel much myself, and I rarely make travel-themed projects. So while this card was a joy to create, it came with a hint of wistfulness too.
For the focal point and sentiment, I used the Mini Delight: Enjoy the Flight set.
I began by stamping the sky circle onto white cardstock using Deep Blue Seas Fresh Dye Inks, then die-cut it with a circle die.
Next, I die-cut and assembled the plane elements—layering the tiny pieces together to bring the image to life.
For the background, I turned to the Wanderlust Embossing Folder and used it on two panels of Crafty Necessities: Sand Dunes and Espresso Cardstock. After embossing, I lightly swiped Espresso and Rocky Shore Fresh Dye Inks over the raised areas to bring out the texture and detail.
I adhered the darker panel over the lighter one, rotating them slightly for a layered, dynamic look. Then I foam-mounted the background onto a white card base, again slightly askew to add a bit more visual interest.
To finish the card, I popped up the sky circle, the plane, and the sentiment with foam tape—adding dimension and focus to the design.
AERIAL LANDSCAPE TRAVEL CARD
I created this card with a soft travel theme and a calm, muted color scheme and features awesome Craft Your Life Project Kit: Floral Odyssey. Using non-white Crafty Necessities: Marshland Cardstock—which has a kraft base with a subtle greenish undertone—I layered gentle, muted ink blending to create a peaceful and understated vibe throughout the design.
For the background, I started by embossing the Floral Odyssey 3D Embossing Folder onto the Crafty Necessities: Marshland Cardstock. This embossing folder creates an intricate aerial view of a landscape—like the scene you might see from a plane.
Using the Floral Odyssey Coloring Stencil, I brought this scene to life with carefully chosen Fresh Dye Inks:
- Espresso and Mocha for the roads and paths
- Tide Blue for lakes and pools
- Evergreen and Forest Glades for trees and bushes
- Berry Mocha and Heart Beat for rooftops
- Industrial Diamond for the shadows
The focal point of the card is a compass made with the Floral Odyssey Die Set. I first cut a base circle from vellum, then layered compass details using Crafty Necessities: Dark Chocolate, Espresso, Mocha, and Sand Dunes Cardstock for contrast.
I also added the letters for North, East, West, and South in matching tones for an authentic touch.
For the sentiment, I used the Floral Odyssey Stamp Set and coordinating die, heat embossing the words I’d go anywhere with you in white on Crafty Necessities: Dark Chocolate Cardstock. Both the compass and sentiment were popped up with foam tape for dimension and placed over the embossed background.
Since the background is already detailed and colorful, I decided not to add any embellishments—allowing the textures and colors to speak for themselves. The overall muted palette gives the card a gentle, timeless feel while still celebrating the excitement of travel.
VINTAGE SUITCASE FLORAL CARD
I combined two of my favorite themes in mynext card — flowers and travel — to create a bright, whimsical card with a touch of vintage charm.
For this design, I paired the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Floral Odyssey with the Creative Cuts: Pack Your Life layering die set.

I began by building my background using the Floral Odyssey Stencil and Floral Odyssey Stamp Set.
First, I stenciled the floral pattern onto white cardstock using Sea Breeze, Pink Pearl, and Frayed Leaf Fresh Dye Inks. Then, to bring the florals to life, I stamped over the stenciled images with Tide Blue, Heartbeat, and Forest Glades Fresh Dye Inks.

Next, I die-cut the center portion of the floral panel using a die from the Floral Odyssey Die Set.
For my focal point, I created two vintage-style suitcases using the Creative Cuts: Pack Your Life layering die set. I die-cut the suitcase pieces from Crafty Necessities Sand Dunes, Mocha, Espresso, and Dark Chocolate cardstock, then assembled them into charming layered pieces.
For the card base, I popped the floral panel onto a Crafty Necessities: Marshland Cardstock panel.

The sentiment, bloom wherever life takes you, from the Floral Odyssey Stamp Set, was heat embossed in white onto a strip of Crafty Necessities Espresso cardstock. I adhered the strip along the lower edge of the floral panel and positioned the suitcases so they appear to be resting on it, as if on a shelf. The suitcases were popped up with black adhesive foam squares for extra dimension.
To complete the card, I added several enamel dots from the Coffee Break Enamel Dot Set for subtle accents, then mounted the entire marshland panel onto a white card base.
This card feels like a little celebration of life’s journeys — wherever they may take you — with florals blooming alongside well-traveled suitcases.

This set will be perfect for making cards for my family members that travel a lot either to visit family members in other countries or vacations with the kids or in the case of my son, lots of business trips. He is the hardest one to make cards for. The Wanderlust Embossing Folder is perfect with your card. I finally can see that there are clouds in the stamps which I could not figure out with other card samples. Beautiful!
