Papertrey Ink | Two Fall Projects With Woodgrain Background

Hello everyone!

I have a couple more Fall cards to share with you today. Which should be appropriate this week even in those households where Christmas started right after the Halloween, but this week it can be pushed aside a bit to give some space to Thanksgiving. Although the projects I’m going to share today can totally be reworked for any other season by just changing a couple of colors.

FAL LEAVES ON WOODGRAIN BACKGROUND

If you know me at least a bit you should know what I’m a sucker for everything woodgrain. Chalkboard and woodgrain are probably the most speaking to my heart designs. So when saw thw Woodwork dies from Ink To Paper I knew they will be loved and used a lot by me.

On my first card I accompanied them with the Leaves In Fall Stamp Set.

I stamped a couple of leaf picks onto a white cardstock in orange and die cut them using the matching dies.

4 wood planks were die cut out of Kraft cardstock and adhered onto a small panel in a bit crooked way. Then the panel with the wood planks got wrapped around by an Ivory Twine and popped up onto a Rustic White card base.

Lastly I popped up a sentiment and added several enamel dots.

FALL DOOR DECOR

For my next card I used the Woodwork dies to make a “house front”. Which then was extended by adding doors and other decor using the Holiday Door Décor Stamp and Die Sets.

I die cut the planks out of a light gray cardstock and adhered onto a card base.

Then I stamped and die cut the door, planters, wreath and bow and adhered them onto the card. I used black adhesive foam squares to pop up the elements.

For the sentiment I used a beautiful one from the Inside Greetings: Season’S Greetings Stamp Set, which was stamped onto a white cardstock and then matted with a black one (I was doing for a look of an entrance door mat).

This design implemented in other colors can work for other holidays as well (Christmas, Easter, Americana – you name it). This set also can be great for a new home cards.
