DENIM
I love background stamps very much. And even more I love realistic ones. New Rustic Linen is one of those. You can make a very realistic linen using this stamp. I decided to make denim.
As far as the card size goes I decided to step aside of my usual A2 size and make it long as narrow. Like a jeans “leg”.
I started with trimming a 7×3.75 panel out of Solar White Cardstock. Next I stamped the background using Starlight Ink. The stamp height is shorter than 7” so the first time stamping didn’t cover the whole panel and an about an inch stripe was left. I then inked an about an inch of the background stamp and stamped it onto the missing space on the panel. There was an overlapping area, which is hidden under the white embossing.
Then I blended onto the panel the same Starlight Ink. I made inking in the middle less heavy handed than on the sides to create this effect of “bleached” denim. Or whatever this is called in the denim world 🙂
After the panel was completely inked I white embossed a floral stripe using stamps from Floral Elements Stamp Set. Here I was going for the look of embroidery. I think it looks quite cool on jeans and I wanted to replicate it on my “jeans” as well.
I made another piece of denim by stamping the same background using Turquoise Ink and blending the same ink onto the cardstock. Then I die-cut the letters for the sentiment using the new Fine Alphabet Die Set and adhered them onto the panel. I also added some “stitching” in the top and bottom parts of both the panel and sentiment letters, so they look like stitched to the panel.
Lastly I adhered the panel to a white card base of corresponding size.
Despite the sentiment I choose for this card the idea of this design can totally work for Father’s Day card I believe. Well.. maybe without the floral embroidery. But denim is a totally masculine thing, isn’t it?
MAIN SQUEEZE
I’m very excited about the new Main Squeeze Stamp Set. It includes stamps to create two very realistic and juicy citrus slices. I made a pretty simple and graphic card using this set.
First I stamped several citruses using orange inks from Warm and Cozy Ink Set and die-cut them using the matching dies.
I trimmed a panel out of red cardstock and adhered the citruses onto it. Some I adhered flat and some popped up using foam adhesive.
I added a sentiment white embossed onto a black cardstock and foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.
To finish off the card I added several orange sequins.
FLORAL ELEMENTS
The last card I made using new Floral Elements Stamp Set. This is a mini set, but it had enough images to create cute floral cluster. Another new product that was used in this card was Fine Frames Rectangle Die.
To started off by making a panel out of white cardstock and slightly tracing the frame die with a pencil onto it.
I started by stamping three clusters onto a white card panel using Ocean Waves, Fresh Lemon and Forest Glades Inks forming kind of a triangle on the frame edges. After stamping I added shading to them using Artist Markers of the corresponding colors.
Then I dry embossed the frame into the panel. This die, when is used as a die, die-cuts several fine frames. I was using it as a texture plate to just embossed all those frame. Love how it turned out.
Next I adhered the panel onto a light blue card base. I die-cut a sentiment using Script Words Die Set and colored it with Artist Markers.
Lastly I added several clear droplets.

However, I think my favorite is the last one, because the bright blue and yellow flowers remind me of Sweden (I realize they’re probably more for your Ukrainian flag, but in my family, blue and yellow are Swedish colors).
