Altenew | Build-A-Flower: Gardenia + Giveaway (CLOSED)

Hello there!

Today is Altenew Build-A-Flower product of the month mini-release. This month it’s Build-A-Flower: Gardenia. It’ll be only available as a bundle, stamp and die sets won’t be sold separately.

Altenew is celebrating this mini release sharing inspiration from design team and also by giving away certificates to Altenew store.

What can I say? Another gorgeous flower stamp set! I’ve been on Altenew design team for more than two years already and every time as the first time I’m amazed of how realistic their layered stamps are.

For my card I decided to go with dramatic design (shocker I know ;)).i started by stamping the flowers using Morning Frost and Evening Gray inks. I skipped the very first layer, as wanted them to be “white” with gray shading. If you ever color white flowers you know what I mean – white is never complete white, there are shades as well.

For leaves my inks of choice were: Moss, Espresso and Jet Black.

After stamping flowers and leaves I die-cut then using matching dies.

I made an A2 card base out of Dark Chocolate Cardstock and embossed the sentiment into it using Platinum Embossing Powder.

Then I added some splatters of black spray, poured the same powder on top and heat set it. You can totally use water here. I just like how splatters turn out when made with this pipe thing attached to a spray bottle lid.

Finally I adhered all stamped and die cut elements onto the card, using both liquid and foam adhesive.

I have been watching your posts for quite some time now but I usually don’t comment. But I had to this time, because I love gardenias and your work on this card is absolutely stunning. Its so beautiful. I love the dark background, it just makes the gardenia jump off the page. The coloring of the gardenia it self is fantastic. Its so realistic and very very beautiful. I think Im running out of words to describe your work on this card. So I will leave it at this…… Perfection!!!!
