Altenew November 2017 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway (CLOSED)

Hello and welcome to Altenew November 2017 Release Blog Hop. We are releasing new amazing stamps and dies!

​Products in this release are in general made for scrapbooking. But they can be totally used for cardmaking as well. I’ll be sharing three cards today made using newly released supplies.

GOLDEN FEATHER

My first card is very simple and relatively easy. I don’t make many pure CAS cards, mostly because I cannot really make them lol. But I always want to, especially when see amazing CAS projects from other designers.

This card is very CAS, which pleases me a lot 🙂

To stat of I made an A2 card base out of Solar White Cardstock and stamped one feather from new Golden Feather Stamp Set using Silver Stone and Industrial Diamond inks. I stamped it kind of laying down, as this one is meant to be a shadow of the color one. I made it multi colored (or I should rather say – two shades of gray) and used my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform for stamping, which helped me to achieve this look by stamping twice in the same spot.

Next I stamped another feather, using Warm Sunshine, Autumn Blaze and Grapevine ink.s This one I also made multi colored (which is obvious).

Lastly I stamped the sentiment using Industrial Diamond and Pure Graphite inks and called it a card.

WOODLAND CHRISTMAS

I’m a big fan of woodland rustic, farmhouse if you will, style in design and my second card I made with this style in mind.

First I made an A2 card base out of Solar White Cardstock. Then I stamped Wood Pallet Background onto it using Evening Gray ink. And then I inked it completely using Morning Frost ink.

I stamped branches from new Forever And A Day Stamp Set using Dark Chocolate Ink and then stamped pine branches from Poinsettia and Pine Stamp Set using Evergreen Ink.

The sentiment from Happy Holidays was stamped using Crimson Ink and to finish off the card I added several red sequins.

COFFEE CUP

For my last card I used Tabbed Die Set. There is also the matching stamp set for it

I believe sets like these are staples. You can use them both in scrapbooking, project life, planners, school projects – you name it! And of course there are many card designs where you can apply a tab.

For example you can make a coffee cup lid as I did on my card.

I die-cut a tag out of Solar White Cardstock. And I cut a cup shape out of the same cardstock (using the tab as a guide for the cup size). Then I generously inked the cup using Crimson Ink.

I let the ink dry completely and white embossed several pine branches from Poinsettia and Pine Stamp Set. And adhered the tab on top, which became the cup lid.

The I created a cup sleeve out of gray corrugated paper adhered to the cup. Using die from Halftone Hearts Nesting Die Set I die-cut a heart out of white cardstock inked using Crimson Ink and foam mounted it onto the cup.

I cut a panel out of Pale Gray Cardstock, stamped the sentiment from Happy Holidays Stamp Set using Industrial Diamond ink and foam mounted the panel onto a white card base. Following by foam mounting the cup, which finished off my card.
