Origami maps

Finally a craft post! It’s been a while since I published something I create. It’s not like I am not creating anything, just do not have enough time to prepare everything for blog.
Anyway, today I’m sharing three cards I made using Origami Map stamp and die from Neat and Tangled. These designs are absolutely genius!

The first card design was created inspired by a Pinterest photo I saw one day. To create this look I masked a stamped image with masking liquid, then added watercolor and inked the background around the map. Then added some water drops (which inked by distresses background always craves for lol) and added multi-colored sentiment).
Card_150418_01_ORIG Card_150418_02_ORIGThe next one is a shaker. It is impossible to have a map die and not to make a shaker out of it. Technically it’s very simple (it’s a shaker, what else can I say here?). used sequins and distress glitter as the shaker fillers.
Card_150418_03_ORIGThe last one. This one wasn’t planned, but origami map die gives such an amazing negative and positive die-cuts so you cannot just put it away and have to use right now. I got an die-cut from a shaker card so decided to create one more card. Created the background by first stamping in different colors with HA inks and then inking it with the similar color of distresses (remembered the technique I already tried in this card). Then I die-cut the map from the background. First wanted to make a DIY-chipboard, but then decided to create like a shadow, by adhering die-cut with a little shift. As a finished touches misted the whole card with Pearl mist by TA, added some sequins (tried to color-match them with a piece of background they’re added to) and stamped the sentiment.Card_150418_04_ORIGI want to submit the last two cards to Sequins challenge by Little Tangles.
Thank you for visiting.
