Simple Card with Colored Vellum

This post is also available in: Russian

Hi everyone!

Quickly popping in to share a very simple card made with like no “special” cardmaking supplies. I made this card inspired by new OCC Clear & Sheer class I currently taking. This’s a great class I really enjoying it. Usually I don’t have time to create a lot of cards and try all techniques showed during the class (not speaking of taking photos when I’m always at work and only can catch good sun on weekends). But this time I was able to create at least one 🙂Colored vellum and foam die-cut. By @s_shayevich #card #cardmaking #diy #papercrafts #handmadeTo make this card I first colored vellum using two blue inks (as Jennifer showed in the class). Then I cut different triangles from colored vellum to create this kind of arc and adhered them to [thirstylink linkid=”9163″ linktext=”” class=”thirstylink” title=”Bazzill Taffy Card Shoppe “] cardstock base. I adhered a stripe of the same cardstock to the top to hide adhesive.

Next I die-cut hello word from black foam and adhered it to the card base. Added several sequins (one of which, black on the left, also hides adhesive I added there to secure vellum in that spot). And I felt like this stripe of Taffy cardstock was like out of this design so I added a stripe of black cardstock on the top of it.

I like the simplicity of that look. And no I can strike out one item from my list “techniques and details to try” as this arc made of differently colored vellum was there for a while:)

This is really cool! The triangles in an arc are a brilliant way to use the vellum.
