Hi there!
Today I have two cards to share. I was participating in a little challenge from my dear friend Anna – CASometry. There were 4 steps in this challenge and now the final with the theme – to CASE somebody who participated and made top in previous steps. It was very hard to choose I can say. If I had more time – I’d case every one offered. But I didn’t have enough time – so only made three.
And today will show two of them. One with stitched woodgrain and Nautical the another.
The first one is casing of Elena’s card. Do you like wood grain? I do a lot! And when it’s STITCHED (!!!!!!) how can you wish more? Absolutely love my new cover up die from Lil’ Inker designs. So clean and effective. Added a bird on a branch scene (as that’s so appropriate for a wood grain). The second card is casing of incredible card by Olga. I fell in love with her old background in combination wit vellum and gold. So here is my take of her card.
I made a watercolor background and then die-cut an anchor from it. Die-cut the anchor from foam, adhered it to the “anchor-shaped hole” in the background followed by adhering the background die-cut. Then I took a piece of vellum, die-cut the anchor from it as well and “wore” the vellum on a foam+background anchor though this die-cut.
Next the sentiment, which I did twice. First – in gold embossing on the background and second – partially in white embossing on the vellum. Love how the sentiment looks kind of shifted. Then I added one more anchor die-cut, gold this time and sequins.
This card wasn’t well-planned and thought through but I really like it turned out. And as usually it’s not so easy for me to think of a card – I’m very happy when it’s created like out of nowhere 🙂
Thank you for stopping by!
