Papertrey Ink | Festive Bird Christmas Card

Hello everyone!

I’m sharing today a festive bird card featuring some holiday Papertrey Ink products. The card itself is quite simple design-wise, color scheme-wise, execution-wise, you name it-wise. Sometimes a girl needs just to make a simple card, am I right?

I used the Feathered Friends Mini 15 Stamp and Die Sets to make the cute bird. When I was stamping each part of the bird I was adding shading to the said part for additional interest.

I did so by first stamping with lighter ink. Next, I was applying darker ink around the edges of a stamp and stamping again (of course I used my MISTI to stamp both times exactly in the same place).

To make the greenery and pinecone elements I used the Sprigs Sprays Holiday Stamp and Die Sets.

I die-cut a circle in a white panel and stamped the sentiment in red in the bottom part of it. Next, I adhered onto the panel.

Then I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base placing a watercolored “night sky” piece underneath the cut circle window. I like how the contrast of a lot of white elements and dark night sky looks like. I think it brings card onto another level and pretty much makes the whole card.
