MINI FARMHOUSE DECOR

Altenew Mixed Media Inks can be used for stamping on any porous surfaces (not just paper) and they become permanent after heat setting. I thought it would be interesting to make anything but a card this time. And I decided to add a mini farmhouse piece to my Christmas decor collection.

Mini Farmhouse Christmas Decor. Decor by Svitlana Shayevich

I have some wooden boxes (which were packaging for wood veneer embellishments) for projects like this. I painted one with a dark brown paint, let it dry and then painted over with a white paint. Some areas I painted with almost dry brush to create the “weathered” effect.

Next I stamped sentiments from the Majestic Mistletoe Stamp Set inside of the box using the Ruby Red Mixed Media Ink. After that I head set it with my heat gun.

Then I took a resin antler embellishments, made a wreath out of a red tinsel for it and adhered it into the box using hot glue.

Which finished off the project.
