Altenew Build-A-Flower Camellia stamp set. Card by @s_shayevich

Hello there!

The 15th of each month with the newsletter Altenew will be releasing Build-A-Flower product . The product of March is beautiful Camellia stamp and die bundle. It’ll be only available as a bundle, stamp and die sets won’t be sold separately.

Altenew is celebrating this mini release sharing inspiration from design team and also by giving away certificates to Altenew store.

I created a simple card using the new stamp and die sets. This flower is a typical Altenew one – realistic and gorgeous. It also a bigger one.

For my card I wanted to make something as soft and light as possible. The flower and its leaves have three stamp layers each. But if I used three colored layers it won’t be as soft as I wanted. So i decided to skip first, solid, layers and start my stamping from the middle ones.

To do this I choose the lightest Altenew inks, Sea Glass and Ocean Waves for blues and Forest Glades and Frayed Leaf for greens. So I stamped the flower using blues and leaves using greens onto Solar White cardstock and die-cut them using matching dies.

I cut and scored a side-folded A2 card base out of Solar White cardstock and created a simple background on it by stamping the top layers of the flower and leaves using Limestone ink. Then the sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped onto the card base as well.

I foam mounted the flower and leaves onto the card base and added several clear droplets to finish of my card.
