Hi there! I’m on LZ blog the other day sharing a couple of very delicate cards using Feather Wreath stamp set. The moment I saw this wreath I wanted to create something very light and weightless, as feathers are.
To achieve this effect I used one of my favorite recipe of “delicacy” – embossing onto vellum. Usually just white embossing on vellum is enough for this task. But in this case I decided to take a step further and make it even more delicate by adding some flock to the wreath.
For the first card I created a flock wreath on a vellum panel which in turn was adhered to a kraft card base.
For the second card I white embossed the wreath and sentiment onto a kraft card base and added flock to the wreath.
These feathers look so lovely with added flock, almost like real ones.
I was adhering flock in both cases using sticky embossing powder. You can check all details over at LZ blog, I made step-by-step instructions there.

Esther
These are absolutely stunning, Svitlana! Using the flock has created such a realistic, fluffy effect on the base of the feathers. I can’t decide whether I prefer the embossing onto vellum or directly onto the Kraft. They both look great in their own ways! Fab cards!

Thank you, Esther! TO be honest I didn’t expect these to look so realistic 🙂

This is so beautiful! I just love how the soft flocking looks on both cards.
