Hello and welcome to Altenew January 2016 release blog hop!
You probably just came from extremely talented May’s blog. If not you can consider starting from the beginning at Altenew blog and see what other members of Altenew’s design team have come up with (and also you have a chance to win a prize on each hop node).
Today we are celebrating the release of 10 new stamps sets. 
I was happy to play with new sets and today gave 4 cards to share.
The first two are made using Botanical Garden stamps set. Which is a gorgeous kind of sketchy one.
The card below is pretty simple. Stamped floral design on a white panel and colored with my COPICs. Added some details with white pen, a sentiment from Oriental Orchid using Jet Black ink. Finally I sprinkled background with the same COPICs I used for coloring using Tim Holtz Spritzer Tool.
The next card is more complicated. I wanted to create a contrast between a sketch and a finished colored picture. So I stamped the same design twice – on a white cardstock card base and a patterned paper with graph design. Colored the card base with my Prismacolor Pencils and added a teared piece of PP, aligning the design. To finish off – a sentiment from Label Love set, stamped with Grapevine ink and some sequins. 
Next goes a card for a teacher, made using new Teachers Rule set.
In this card I wanted to use something school related in addition to the apple. So I scored “ruled paper” design on a white cardstock panel using my MS scoring board followed by drawing a red line with just a regular pen. Stamped the apple (isn’t it amazing?) using Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Forest Glades and Evergreen inks, cut it with my scissors and adhered to the “ruled” paper. Stamped the sentiment from the same stamps set using Jet Black ink and adhered the panel to a kraft card base.
Finally goes a probable the emptiest card I have ever made. Such design is something I’m just dying when see others cards, but myself never can do something like this (tend to overthink). So it was made using new Trophy Life stamps set. First on a white card base I stamped stars using Buttercream ink. Next – stamped a trophy with Ocean Waves, Dusk and Jet Black inks. Fussy cut the trophy, adhered it to the card base using dimensional adhesive, added some star sequins.
So here are my project for Altenew January release. Hope you like my cards and like this release.
