BUILD-A-GARDEN BLUSHING MAGNOLIA

I have a strong sweet spot in my heart for magnolia flowers. No matter the stamp design most likely I will love it. And will never have enough.

My navy and gold monochromatic card showcases the new Build-A-Garden Blushing Magnolia.

There are 3 floral stamps in this set and I opted to use the largest one as wanted to have as much magnolia as possible on my card.

I gold-embossed it and colored using the matching stencil. I shaded each petal in an ombre style, starting with a lighter color at the tip and gradually transitioning to a deeper hue at the base of the petal.

To add some texture I misted the flowers with my Ultra Fine Continuous Water Mister and added the Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray splatters for additional interest.

After that, I die-cut the flower branch using the matching add-on die.

Using the Phthalo Blue Artists’ Watercolor I created a simple background on a Watercolor Paper. For additional drama, I blended the Navy Fresh Ink around the panel edges and added the Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray splatters to it.

The watercolor panel was foam-mounted onto a white card base. Followed by popping up the magnolia flowers onto it using thin and regular black foam squares.

Next, I gold embossed a sentiment onto a white cardstock and die-cut it with the matching die. The sentiment was popped up onto the card.

I added several Satin Gold Sequins to accentuate the card, which finished it off.
