Or maybe I should’ve said – Boo! Since, you know, it’s spooky season. Speaking of which, I’m sharing another Halloween card today. This one is inspired by a book stack home decor trend and features a fun Storybook Collection from Papertrey Ink.
The Storybook Collection features stamp and die sets which can be mixed and matched to create different types of books for different themes/occasions. I’ve used some products from it to create a scene of a Halloween book stack home decor piece.
I used the Storybook Christmas Stamp Set (despite its name I consider as a base one) and the Storybook Halloween Stamp Set along with black, gray, and orange inks, as well as white embossing powder to stamp a bunch of book spines, as well as additional elements as spiders, spiderweb, pumpkin.
All the elements were die-cut using matching dies from the Storybook Christmas and Storybook Halloween Die Sets.
The background panel is made out of black cardstock, with the Ranger Black Sparkle Embossing Powder added along its edges. I also added white spray splatters for additional interest. The panel was foam-mounted onto a white card base.
I die-cut a Darling Stand out of white cardstock and assembled the book stack scene on the card. Placing some books onto the stand, some – in front of it. And finishing off the card by adding supporting actors such as pumpkin, spiders, and spiderwebs.
