Hello everyone!
Large sentiments became a thing several years ago and since then I favor them a lot. Today I want to share a monochromatic card using Spellbinders March Glimmer Hot Foil Kit – Let Your Sentiments Shine Brighter.
This months kit has 5 large sentiment hot foil plates made in very trendy script.
I made the sentiment the focal point of the card and framed it with foiled foliage and watercolor wash.
I started making the card by hot foiling a sentiment using the Cobalt Blue Foil in the middle of watercolor panel.
Then I foiled foliage elements from the Christmas Organic Foliage Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set along all edges of the panel using Cobalt Blue and Skybright Foils. This part was a little bit time consuming, but not as much as it may seem. I used several plates at a time placed in opposite parts of the panel to make the process faster.
After that I made a simple blue watercolor wash around the edges of the panel.
That was pretty much it. To finish off the card I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.
On the photo bellow I was trying to catch that metallic shine foil created. It looks quite cool.
