FLORAL RAINBOW SLIMLINE CARD

I used the Vintage Garden Stamp Set to create a happy slimline card.

The floral stamps in this set are quite large to work easily with slimline size. First I white embossed the large image in the middle of a white slimline panel. Then I extended the design by white embossing another flower from the set on each side. Since I was using embossing it was very easy to “mask odd” overlapping areas – I simply brushed off powder from them before heat setting.

After heat embossing I made the rainbow background by blending the Crimson, Warm Sunshine and Ultramarine Inks onto the panel. I only use these three basic colors to create the rainbow (instead of 7). Other colors I gor by overlapping the blending of red and blue, red and yellow, yellow and blue.

Next I added white splatters onto the panel and after that adhered it onto a white card base.

The sentiment I made using the Mega Greetings 2 Stamp Set and Mega Happy Die Set. To finish off the card I added several crystal confetti.

EASY COPIC COLORING

For my next card I used as well the Vintage Garden Stamp Set. This time I used it to do markers coloring.

The flowers in the set already have shading in their design, so I totally got away by applying very simple coloring. I used the Crimson and Velvet markers from the Artist Markers Set A for coloring. First I stamped a couple of flowers onto a white cardstock using the alcohol ink friendly Permanent Black Ink. Then I filled the flowers with the Crimson marker, Next I added shading using the Velvet marker, following the shading of the flower design. My shading was very basic, it was rather scribbling. Then I blended out the Velvet shading a bit with the Crimson marker and that was about it.

I also traced the flowers outside with the Desert Night Artist Marker. After that I embossed the flowers with the Translucent Pearl Embossing Powder (using the stamps that were used for stamping in black of course, which were still mounted in my MISTI) and cut them out using scissors.

Next I made a panel out of a blue cardstock, inked it up with the Azurite Dye Ink by swiping an ink pad along the panel edges. It created this interesting background. Then I adhered the flowers onto the panel, which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base.

Lastly I popped up the sentiment made using the Simple Greetings Die Set and added several Snow Crystals.

EASY GOLD EMBOSSED BACKGROUND

My next card features the same Vintage Garden Stamp Set and very easy embossed background.

I like building up my own backgrounds using stamping or heat embossing. With stamping it often involves using masking, which can be time consuming. With heat embossing it’s simpler, as you can just brush off etra powder before heat setting. With this stamp set I didn’t even need to do so. Since the elements of the set are rather large – it was easy to build the background in almost no time.

First I gold embossed the two flowers stamp diagonally across a dark blue panel. Then I gold embossed the single flower and leaves around placing them as close as possible to another elements but not overlapping them. The flowers design worked perfectly and I ended up with gorgeous luxe background.

To add to the luxury of the background I blended the Azurite Dye Ink around the panel edges.

Then I wrapped some gold thread around the panel and foam mounted it onto a white card base.

Lastly I popped up a white embossed on a red strip sentiment which finished off the card.
