LAYERED MASKING LEAFY BACKGROUND

I used the new Just Leaves Die Set to create this layered leaf background.

To do it I die cut a bunch of masks out of the new Altenew product – Masking Paper and used them along with ink blending. Inks I used from the Nature Wonders Set.

The technique is quite simple. First I blended the lightest ink onto a white cardstock. Then applied several masks and blended the next darker ink over. Removed the masks. Applied another masks in different areas. Blended the next darker ink over. Removed masks. This finished off building the background.

To add more interest I added some white splatters.

Then I wrapped a hemp twine around the panel. tied a bow and foam mounted it onto a white card base. The popped up sentiment and several Gold Crystals finished off the card.

I also was taking photos of the process, you can check below how the background was boing build. Very simple but the result is quite interesting.

EASY BOLD FLORAL CARD

My second card features the new Linear Crossroads Die as well as the Double-Sided Adhesives Sheets.

I like the modern design of this die, I think it can be used for many occasions. In my card I used the die to add interest to the background.

The die is quite intricate and adhering it can be a bit tricky. I used the Double-Sided Adhesives Sheets to create an adhesive back of my die cuts. I made two red and white sticky back die cuts of the die and layered red ones on top of the white with a slight offset. Then I adhered them onto a Dark Gray panel. Then I added some white splatters for additional interest. Next I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.

To create the floral cluster I used the Botanical Rhapsody Washi Tape. Which I adhered onto a 80lb cardstock, fussy cut elements and adhered them onto the card.

White embossed onto a red sentiment strip popped up onto the card finished it off.
