Altenew | Cozy Winter Village

Hello friends!

Today I want to share a card featuring a cozy winter scheme. This scene is a bitter sweet for me. I love such scenery, but living in NYC rarely can experience this myself as we almost never have snow ;( So snow on my cards is like all snow I have in my life now.

Anyways, to make these cure layered houses I used a Mini Delight: Victorian Stamp & Die Set – a mini stamp set and a coordinating die. This stamp set is small (and cheaper), but still you can make a decent full size card using it.

I stamped 4 houses onto a white cardstock using Ruby Red and Soft Dunes inks and die cut them with the matching die.

Next I blended Ocean Waves Ink onto a white card base. After that I white embossed a snowy background stamp from the Hello Winter Stamp Set in the top half of the card.

Then I free hand cut a big snowdrift out of a white panel and stamped the sentiment from the Hello Winter Stamp Set onto it using Ruby Red Ink. Then I foam mounted it onto the card.

Next I adhered the houses onto the card and added Pure White Ink Spray splatters. I finished it off by adding several white sequins.
