In my opinion peonies are one the most fun flowers to color. I love the large petals of this flower, they give more space for coloring. Not speaking that the flower itself is very beautiful. New Build-A-Flower: Paeonia Japonica has become one of my new favorite.

CARD
Yesterday I shared a card and video showcasing coloring on result non white cardstock using watercolor markers. Well the card I’m sharing today features the same technique. Only this time I user Parchment Cardstock.
The flower was white embossed onto a Parchment panel and then colored using markers from the new Watercolor Brush Markers – Autumn Festival Set. Namely I used the Orange Cream and Just Green markers. Since I was working on non watercolor paper I tried to use as less water as possible.
Also since the brush markers have very fine tip – you can imitate adding details with sharp pencil using them. On the flowers you can see the strokes which I added using markers.
After watercoloring was done I added white spray splatters and foam mounted the panel onto a white card base.
Next I popped up a white on black sentiment strip.
Lastly I added several crystals to finish off the card.
