Papertrey Ink | June Release Countdown – Day 1

Hello crafty friends!

Welcome to Day 1 of the Ink To Paper June Release Countdown. I’m honored and thrilled to join this amazing company and extremely talented Design Team. So you will see me sharing projects made using this company products going forward.

The new release will be available at Ink To Paper on June 15th at 10:00 PM EST and today we’re starting sharing projects using the new products from the upcoming release. Day 1 introduces Playful Patterns Stamp and Die Sets, Love To Layer: Aztec Die Set, Playful Patterns: Rainbow Die Set and To Die For Sentiments: Rainbow Die Set.

Today I’m featuring Playful Patterns: Rainbow Die Set and To Die For Sentiments: Rainbow Die Set and sharing three projects made with these products.

SWEET BABY

For my first card I used the Playful Patterns: Rainbow Die Set to create the background.

This set has 6 dies for a rainbow arcs and I only used three smallest one. Which I die-cut out of different cardstock. I didn’t care about right rainbow colors same as about their order in rainbow as was going for non traditional rainbow color scheme, but rather a sweet color combination to suit a baby card.

The rainbows were adhered all over the Rustic Cardstock panel in different directions. And to fill spaces between them I stamped stars from the Playful Patterns Stamp Set. Then the panel was adhered onto a white card base and  moved to creating the sentiment.

Which I stamped using stamps again from the Playful Patterns Stamp Set, the BABY word was die-cut using the matching die and sweet word I fussy cut with my scissors.

lastly the sentiment was popped up onto the card.

SENDING YOUR RAINBOW

For the next card I went out of town with ink blending. I was die cutting the rainbow arcs out of a white cardstock and adding color to them using Distress Inks.

The panel I die cut out of white using a die from the Love To Layer: Aztec Die Set and then blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto it. After that I sprinkled the panel and rainbow arcs with water to make the ink move and create the classic texture on my ink blended elements. To add more interest to the background I also added a white ink splatters onto it.

For the sentiment I used the To Die For Sentiments: Rainbow Die Set. Which I die cut out of a white cardstock. Then I colored the letters for the word RAINBOW using the same distress inks (but I didn’t sprinkled them with water this time) and the rest of the sentiment I left white.

To prevent the RAINBOW word from blending with the rainbow I placed it onto a vellum strip.

INK BLENDED BACKGROUND

For my last card from this set I went with creating a rainbow background and leaving the sentiment white.

The background I created using Distress Oxide Inks, and of course after blending them onto a white panel I added water splatters, followed by white ink spray splatters.

I also made a white frame using the Border Bling: Skinny Dotted Frame Die. Which made the background pop. It also coordinates with the white sentiment.

For additional interest I added sequins of corresponding colors onto the different parts of rainbow background.

SWEET LITTLE ONE

My last card for today features the Playful Patterns Stamp and Die Sets. I made a clean and simple card with a fun and playful design.

I stamped and die cut the rainbow and the clouds first. Then I popped them up onto a white card base.

Then I stamped the sentiment in yellow in a form of arc. And I felt that I need something more, so I stamped several stars in the top part of the card.
