Simon Says Stamp | Believe In You Release

Hello friends,

Or I should say – good very early morning? At least for those who are in EDT time zone. I usually don’t post so early in the morning, and the reason I do it today is because the new Simon Says Stamp release Believe In You just went live.

I was lucky to play with a fun sentiment set – Simon Says Thanks And Encouragement Word Mix 1. This set has two big stamps which stamp several different sentiment at a time. There is also a matching die for this set that die-cuts all stamped sentiments at one run. Very great option for mass producing sentiments and then using them as needed on cards.

For my card though I decided to use the stamp set in a classic way if simply stamping (well white embossing to be exact) a sentiment from the set.

But first I created this bright and colorful background. By ink blending the following distress inks (in this exact order) onto a white panel – Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold, Cracked Pistachio, Pine Needles, Moved Lawn, Twisted Citron. After ink blending I sprayed the background with my Distress Sprayer, let the ink move and blotted the water.

After that I die-cut the panel using a stitched rectangle.

Next I white embossed a sentiment in the middle of the panel. I masked the rest of the stamp with some scotch tape directly on a stamp when was applying ink.

After that I made another white embossed onto a black strip sentiment and popped it onto the panel. Which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base.

Lastly I added several Crystal Clear Confetti.
