CARD

The card I’m sharing today features a couple of products from the new release as well as an easy textured watercolor landscape scene.

I started making the card by creating a textured watercolor landscape background. Which I did by coloring the embossed with Rolling Hills 3D Embossing Folder watercolor panel using Woodless Watercolor Pencils.

I love using pencils specifically to watercolor textured backgrounds made using embossing folders. Mostly I add pigment with a pencil along the textured edge and then wash it out using damp brush. The key here is to use a little bit of water, otherwise all the texture will gone for the most part.

It did a bit even with using a damp brush. So to bring it back I “re-embossed” the background using the same embossing folder after finishing the coloring.

For additional interest I also added watercolor platters to the background. I tried adding splatters of the same color to each section of the landscape design.

After that, I create a watercolored chestnut tree using the Chestnut Tree Layering Die Set.

I die-cut all tree layers out of a watercolor paper and then watercolored them using the Watercolor 36 Pan Set.

I assembled the tree by stacking all the layers using liquid adhesive. For more texture and interest I added watercolor splatters. Followed by popping it up onto the card.

The sentiment was made using the One-Go Birthday Stamp & Die Bundle.
