Spellbinders | October Large Die Of The Month – Fall and Christmas Trucks

Today I want to share several cards featuring Spellbinders Large Die Of The Month of October.

The set full of dies to make a cute truck filled with stuff for any season.

As currently it’s THAT season of course I made cards with fall and winter trucks. The truck is very cute. And very detailed as you can see. Back mirrors got me the most, so adorable!

PUMPKIN PICKING

If you’re somewhat into fall, or at least once visited Pinterest, you probably saw photos of a vintage mint (or Tiffany blue) trick filled with pumpkins, which is very “Happy Fall Y’All”. When I see mint-orange color combo with fall themed images it brings me so much joy so it even hurts.

Back to the card. It was very easy to make as all you need is to die-cut all pieces and then glue them together.

I die-cut the truck body out of a mint, light gray, orange, black and white cardstock and assembled the truck. I tape the back side of the body using a micro-porous tape to adhere all details into it.

I did the same for pumpkins, to add black details to them. And I adhered them directly onto the truck as if it had its tailgate open.

I made a panel out of patterned paper with weather wood planks design and foam mounted it onto a white card base. Followed by foam mounting the truck on top.

I also die-cut a sentiment out of black and adhered it onto the card.

 

CHRISTMAS TREE TRUCK

Of course I had to make a Christmas Version too! Vintage Christmas Truck is CLASSIC! And I went further in terms of classic by making a chalkboard effect.

So I wanted everything to look like it was chalk drawn on a black board. To achieve this effect I simply smudged white ink over all details. The truck body, Christmas tree, tires.

I die-cut a sentiment out of the white cardstock. The sentiments from this set fit nicely onto the truck tailgate. Also there is a slit so you can load all goodies “into a truck”.

To finish off my card and add more wintery look to it I added snowflakes with a white pen.
