Hi friends,
Today is the last day of 2017. Which is hard to believe (as it is every year haha). I want to wish you healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!
Meanwhile I’m continuing sharing New York holiday windows of 2017 and this post is devoted to Saks Fifth Avenue.

Christmas in New York 2016 #1 | Lord&Taylor | Bloomingdales
New York is very big and Christmas is a big deal here. They start decorating in early November. And it’s not only big department stores and parks, but many-many small stores, clubs and different locations. I believe if you start in the middle of November and every day try to visit one such location – you won’t be able to see them all till Christmas.
So there are a plenty of locations in NYC to visit. And for different people the number one place to see can be different. I myself have a list of holiday must-haves which I have to visit no matter what. And the main location for me is Rockefeller Center with its tree and Saks Fifth Avenue (located right across from it) with its light show and iconic windows. If you’re interested you can check out their last year windows and light show here.
This year Saks partnered with Disney to celebrate 80th anniversary of Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. If you’re a Disney fan it can be interesting for you to see. I’m not a fan of Disney, but I still was fascinated by the windows.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t dislike Disney, I’m just not really familiar with this culture as people who grew up in USA. I grew up in USSR where all things American were banned and the first time I saw a Disney movie I was a teen or even older. I’ve never been to Disney World and cannot really tell one princess from another lol.
Who is the fairest of them all
Wishing for the one I love
Run away! Never come back!
A smile and a song
Heigh-Ho! Heigh-Ho!
Whistle while you work
Who are you?
A perfect disguise
A Dopey dance
Have a bite?
We’ve got to save Snow White
The evil queen is trapped
Awakened by a kiss
Happily ever after
And below is the video of all these windows “in action” (as they’re not still) with the preceding Saks Light Show.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at YouTube
I have some more windows for you to check out. Hopefully will finish them tonight or tomorrow morning.
Have a Happy New Year!
