Hi everyone!
Today I want to share with you Easter home decor I put up this year.
Even though I really into home decor and allow myself to splurge from time to time – mostly I try to keep it on budget. Which means – lots of thrifted, DIYs, upcycled goods. If I buy something new – usually I try to do it during after holiday sale.
If you follow my other home decor posts you know that some time ago I got this empty frame from flea market. It was ugly brown and i painted it white. So now every holiday I am facing a problem – what to put inside this frame haha. For Easter decor I decided to make a wreath. All supplies came from a Dollar Tree.To make this wreath I took a foam wreath base and wrapped it with burlap twine. Next I adhered Spanish moss all over the front part using my glue gun. I have a lot of eggs in my decor. All of them are dollar store plastic ones, originally in crazy bright colors. I painted them all with acrylic paint in more Easter-y colors and added some brown spots (or whatever this thing is real bird eggs have) with old tooth brush. Kind of messy but extremely easy to make. After all eggs had been ready – they were adhered to the wreath with glue gun as well.
Here and there I added some feathers that I had on hand (and which I have no idea why I bought one day haha). To hang the wreath I used a burlap ribbon.
Next I have my show cabinet display
Mason jars (a thrifted one and another is Tim Holtz mini) I filled with Spanish moss, eggs and wine corks. The wooden box I got at Target Dollar Spot last year, I have two of them. They were dark blue originally and I painted them in weathered white. The bird is from TJ Maxx, got it on sale after Easter. Eggs are made the same way as one for the wreath and also the box is filled with paper worms from Dollar Tree. “Peter Rabbit” book I got last year in a pharmacy after Easter on huge sale. And these bunny ears I scored this year in Hallmark 90%off closing sale.
The burlap bag you can already see in my Valentine decor, it’s from Target Dollar Spot. Carrots – A Dollar Tree jump rope handles, which I spray painted in white.
This adorable bunny dips bowl I also got at TJ Maxx on after Easter sale. Bird nests are from Amazon.
I found a free Easter Subway Art printable on Pinterest, printed it and framed (the frame is also upcycled Dollar Tree ones). And I tucked my DIY bunnies here.
Another spot of my home decor
This burlap banner I got last year at Target Dollar Spot, cut bunnies with my Silhouette, added them pom-pom tails and adhered to the banner with my glue gun.
And my Ikea book self usually is rather a decor display piece then a storage unit haha
Paper straws – Dollar Tree, jar – thrifted. Ikea clock is decorated with Altenew flowers.
Here my thrifted bird house, decorated with Altenew flowers. A cylinder vase (also thrifthed several years ago, one of my favorite founds) is filled with eggs, wine corks and Spanish moss. Easter sign – TJ Maxx, got on sale. Bunny – Dollar Tree, spray painted in white. And the eggs box is from Target Dollar Spot.
And I also tucked cut bunnies on the wall, into the faux bricks.
I filmed a short video tour of this year decor
I really like how Easter decor came together this year. Hope you liked it as well 🙂
