Two holiday cards with opposite design

Today I have two holiday cards to share. They’re opposite in style and color.

The first one is white. Very clean and a bit unusual for me. Loving clean and simple cards, and admiring extremely clean cards with a lot of white space myself I don’t make such very often.

I used last year Stamptember Simon Says Stamps with Clearly Besotted Holly Berries stamps set. I used holly branch there to create some kind of wreath, so made using branches. Just masked here and there to create continuing wreath-like design. And of course added berries.For stamping I used HA Forever Green and HA Red Royal inks. After stamping each element I poured embossing powder (HA inks are dye ones, they stay wet long enough for an embossing powder to stick to them). This powder is perfect for holiday cards. It gives such a joyful sparkle! Finally added some sequins and adhered the stamped panel on a card base. That is it for this card. Extremely simple.

The next card is completely opposite.
For this card I first stamped MFT Wood Planks Background using white ink on Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock. Everything else was made using the same technique I showed a week ago with a card for Altenew blog. First stamped the design with white ink, colored inside of shapes using white ink as well (with Fantastix tool). And then colored mittens, berries and twine using Prismacolor color pencils.  Stamped a sentiment from Tim Holtz Handwritten Holidays stamps set.

Added some dots with white pencil to finish the card. I like how it turned out. I like black cards in general 😉
