Hello!
I started making winter cards a couple months ago, but now it’s really time to start making them. The sooner the better. It’s only two month before those need to be send should be ready.
For today’s card I used one of my favorite techniques – white inks on kraft cardstock stamping.Ā I wanted to create a chalkboardy design. Which it usually made on dark cardstock but hey! I am the master of my designs lol.
First I stamped wood planks (using MFT Wood Plank Background stamp). Next – the holly one from Tim Holtz Christmas Blueprints 4.
Then the fun part – I wanted to add some color, so colored leaves and berries with Prismacolor pencils. For the sentiment I used one of the newest sets from Tim – Handwritten Holidays 1. Love handwritten style these sentiments made, perfect for chalkboard cards (even those that doesn’t really look like chalkboard:))
That was it. Very simple card š On the photo it looks like hard to read design, but in real life it’s better “readable”. And that’s what I was going for – to replicate kind of hand drawn with chalk picture on a fence.
I’m linking it up to Simon Says StampĀ STAMPtemberĀ® Exclusive: Tim Holtz.
How many holiday cards have you made already?
Thank you for stopping by!
