Hello!
How are you today? Hating this heat? I am, so getting over it by creating holiday and fall cards. Today I have one fall card to share. This one card was made using several techniques.First there was a panel of white cardstock, which I inked with SSS Orange Peel ink. Then I cut some leaves from a masking sheet using Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies. Applied them on my panel and inked it with SSS Lipstick Red ink. After removing leaves shaped masks I got a reddish background with orange leaves. Next I applied Versamark clear embossing ink on Hero Arts Large Notebook and stamped my panel with it. Heat set Versamark stamping revealing some kind of “bleaching” effect Versamark gives reacting with die inks.
On this point I could stop as that was everything I planned for this background. But I didn’t like the result. It looked a bit dull. So I decided to add some interest by embossing it with leaves dies (the same I used for creating masks). Die embossing “defined” leaves and this way I liked the background more.Next I added some leaves die-cuts (which I cut from the similar background, the one I spoiled before and it didn’t work as a background but was good to die-cut from). To finish the card I added for you sentiment die-cut by Little B Handwritten and some splashes of Walnut Stain Distress Spray.
Do you like making backgrounds from scratch? As you can see – I like a lot. Forgot when the last time I used PP for background 😉
Thank you for stopping by!
