BUILD-A-GARDEN: SULFUR COSMOS
I used the Build-A-Garden: Sulfur Cosmos as well as the new Fresh Dye Inks to create an easy bold floral card.
After gold embossing the floral image onto a white cardstock I colored it using the Coloring Stencil. The color palette for it was easy to choose, as I wanted to showcase the inks from this release.
Also, in general, the red and blue color combo is quite striking.
Next, I die-cut the floral using the matching die and cut it into two pieces to position at the bottom and top part of the card.
I’m not opposed to having white die-cut edges of card elements in general. But this time I didn’t want to have them. So I filled the white edges using a close-by color of my background marker.
Speaking of which, the background was made by ink blending blue inks onto a white panel first.
Then I added a design to it using the background stencil from the set.
The sentiment was made using a stamp and die from the same bundle. I stamped it in a Gradient matter for additional interest.
Several Metallic Gold Gem Sparkles finished off the card.
STENCIL ART: WHITE CAP PEONIES
My second card features an extremely beautiful, elegant and realistic Stencil Art: White Cap Peonies. As I often do with blog hop projects, I opted for the same color palette.
First, I stenciled the floral onto a white panel. There is an Add-On Die for this set, but I decided not to use it this time and use the panel as the major element of my card.
To add a bit more interest to it I used one trick I often use when working with one-layer designs – I added texture to it using the Dotted Swirls Debossing Cover Die.
Next, I foam-mounted the panel onto a slightly large red cardstock panel, which I also “textured” using the same cover die. As I was placing the top panel onto the red one I tried to align the debossed design to look continuous
Both panels after that were foam-mounted to a white card base. The debossing and foam-mounting are what I used to elevate an otherwise simple design.
To finish off the card I popped up the sentiment made using the Build-A-Garden: Sulfur Cosmos & Add-On Die Bundle and added several name dots from the Red Cosmos and Lapis Lazuli Sets.
FLUTTER & BLOOM
My last is made using the Flutter & Bloom Complete Bundle. Needless to say, I went with the same color scheme for this one.
The card design is quite simple and straightforward.
The floral element I white embossed on a white cardstock and colored using the Coloring Stencil, die-cutting it afterward. Additionally I white embossed and die-cut several leaf edges of the smaller floral bouquet, which are tucked under the colored one.
It added more interest to the focal point and balanced out the background’s boldness.
Said background was made by ink blending the Heart Beat and Berry Mocha Fresh Dye Inks onto a white panel.
The white-embossed on black sentiment strip is made using a stamp from the Flutter & Bloom Stamp Set.
Pure White Ink Spray splatters and Northern Shore Enamel Dots finished off the card.

Hi Svitlana. I always enjoy seeing your cards on the Altenew hops. Both your cards are so bold and eye-catching. There are so many layers and textures. I like how you took the white edge off the flowers and put a stencil on the base of your first card. The embossing powder really makes your card pop along with the gems. It’s perfect.
