CRAFT-A-FLOWER: ANEMONE BLUE POPPY

I used the new Craft-A-Flower: Anemone Blue Poppy Layering Die Set for the card below. I’m in love with the beautiful design of these large flowers! I die-cut all the elements out of watercolor paper and colored them using watercolor brush markers.

As I was coloring I tried to follow the debossed design created by dies, which made the task quite simple. Also, I tried to make them on a softer side as I was going for “white” flowers.

The Rolling Hills 3D Embossing Folder was used for the background panel. I embossed a watercolor sheet and also colored it using watercolor brush markers. Followed by splattering with water and then black ink for additional interest.

For the sentiment, I used the new One-Go: Words & Banners. I’m a big fan of One-Go sentiment line, since the first set was released I started using the sentiments created with it almost exclusively. And of course I’m happy to see more sentiments and designs made within this line. It’s so easy to create a bunch of sentiments at once using such set.

I like the crooked design of this sentiment and how it kind of follows the flower shape.

The Clear Enamel Dots were used to add finished touches, which finished off the card.

BOUQUET OF POPPIES

My second card features an amazing Bouquet Of Poppies – an anniversary bundle, that includes a large 8×11″, and coordinating die and coloring stencil sets.

I choose the similar color way for the flowers as I did for the previous card, making the poppies blue.

I also created the background using the large flower cluster from the set. Which I stamped very lightly as I didn’t want it to overwhelm the focal point.

After that, I added gradient ink blending to the background.

The frame was made using the Ornate Nesting Die Set.

And for the label I used the One-Go Birthday Greetings.

Several Red Jasper Gem Sparkles were added to accentuate the card.

PINK STAR TULIP

My last card features the most beautiful Pink Star Tulip Layering Die Set, which I paired with an elegant Sparkled Frame Die.

I die-cut the flower petals out of pink cardstock and colored by ink blending Coral Berry and Ruby Red Fresh Dye Inks onto it, using the new Micro Blending Brushes to get more detailed ink blending. I did the same with the flower leaves, die-cutting them out of green cardstock and ink blending with the Evergreen Fresh Dye Ink.

For the Sparkled Frame, I made several die-cuts out out white cardstock and stacked them to add some thickness and stability to the frame.

The background panel was made using the Essential Textures: Wood Press Plate. I started with a Parchment Cardstock panel and impressed the plate into it using the Espresso Fresh Dye Ink.

After that, I added white splatters to the panel and foam-mounted it onto a white card base.

The frame with the flower on top was adhered onto the panel. One great thing about the frame is that it was designed to fit Gem Sparkles into circle indentations in its design. Needless to say, I embellished the frame using Red Jasper Gem Sparkles.

The sentiment label was made using the One-Go: Words & Banners and tucked under the flower petal.
