DANCING SUNFLOWERS

I used a very beautiful Dancing Sunflowers Bundle to make my card.

This set features two very beautiful large sunflowers as well as several standalone leaves. One sunflower is enough to make a whole card. I love such sets, they come in very handy when you need a quick card.

The coloring stencil from this bundle makes the coloring a very easy task as well. I colored the sunflower head in peach using the Peach Perfect, Rouge, Caramel Toffee and Paper Bag Dye Ink. Forest Glades and Evergreen inks were used to color the leaves.

After coloring the sunflower I die-cut it using the matching die. And colored the white edges of the die-cut using the Evergreen Artist Marker from the Cosmic Garden Altenew Markers Set A. Which helped to blend it with the green background.

Dotted Geo Cover Die was used to add texture to the green cardstock background. I wanted to add a bit of interest to an otherwise plain background. But didn’t want to introduce anything too prominent, like 3D embossed texture or even stamping. The pierced design of the Dotted Geo Cover Die was perfect for that.

I also added white splatters to the background for 2 reasons. First – I always do so 🙂 Second – it always adds that missing touch.

The flower was foam mounted onto the background. I used the black foam squares to pop it up, they work better than white ones when it comes to darker background.

My all-time favorite One-Go Birthday Greetings Stamp & Die Bundle was used to make the sentiment. I made a bunch of different sentiment labels using this set and often just pick up one from my stash to add to a card.

Lastly, I wrapped a green jute twine around the panel, tying a bow right next to the flower.
