Spellbinders | October Glimmer Hot Foil Kit – Foiled Fall Background Card

Hello everyone!

This month’s Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Kit – Glimmering Autumn Woods is a cool and cozy fall-themed one.

The set features hot foil plates and dies of classic fall images and a sentiment strip that are perfect to create an autumn card!

It’s not a brainer, that I created a fall card using this set.

To create the background first I hop foiled the elements from the kit onto a watercolor panel. I started building the background from the middle of the panel, making my way to its edges. I used the Copper Hot Foil for foiling.

After the foiling part was finished I colored the images using watercolors. Opting for a bright and slightly unusual color scheme. I wanted to bring light blue to the scheme, which plays nicely with fall colors and did it via coloring one leaf type using this color.

After that, I made a sentiment strip by hot foiling it onto black cardstock using the same Copper Hot Foil and popped it up onto the panel. Followed by wrapping gold thread around it.

Lastly, the panel was foam mounted onto a white card base, and added gold confetti finished it off.
