GEOMETRIC FLORAL CARD

I used the new gorgeous Fresh Bloom Stamp Set for my first card.

The floral element I decided to create in a color scheme I had been wanting to implement for a while – orange and teal. And I should say that I’m glad that I did!

The geometric background is created by using the new Diamond Frame Cover Die.

The sentiment I stamped in black onto a light teal cardstock to match the other teal elements of the card.

And since black splatters make everything better I added them as a finishing touch.

LILY FLOWERS CARD

Another new wonderful stamp set in this release is Inky Lily, which I used for my next card.

I opted to use only the smaller flower from the set (there is also a larger one) and created 4 of them to place vertically onto my card.

The background I made using the Woven Stripes Stamp Set, also a new product from this release.

The sentiment I used for the card is my al times favorite as I’m a terrible friend and always missing the time when I need to send a birthday card to it arrives on time.

WATERCOLORED EMBOSSED ROSE BOUQUET

I’m getting more and more into watercoloring of dry embossed images. Altenew carries a lot of wonderful embossing folders that are perfect for this technique. I used the new Rose Bouquet 3D Embossing Folder this time.

Watercoloring of dry embossed images is like a no line coloring, but much easier. As the 3D design texture helps water to flower where it needs to be, it’s much easier to see where the “lines” are and it’s hard to screw up such coloring as you have an original embossed design as a base.

Being in a fall mood for quite some time on this point I opted for a fall color scheme for this card.

For each element of the design I added a shadow/outline using the same color. After all the coloring was done I also added splatters of the same colors that I used for coloring.

For the sentiment I used the Just A Number Die Set, selecting a mahogany cardstock for the sentiment bottom die cut to tie it with one of the colors from the panel.
