Hello and welcome to Altenew 7th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 1!
You probably came from Simon Says Stamp. If not – you may consider starting from the beginning at Altenew Card Blog and see what other members of Altenew design team and guest designers have created. There are so many beautiful projects from talented designers. Also you on each stop you have a chance to win a prize.
CARD
To celebrate Altenew anniversary I made a monochromatic anniversary card featuring some of my new and old favorite products and one of my favorite techniques.
The new product I mentioned above is the Meadow Bush Layering Stencil Set which I used to create a monochromatic background onto a green cardstock panel. I was using ins from the Green Valley Ink Set as well as White Heat Embossing for one layer.
One of my old favorites is Altenew Mega Happy Die which I used to create the sentiment piece out of the background created on the previous step. This is one of my ultimately favorites techniques ever. Very easy to implement and I’m never tired of seeing the final result.
After creating the dimensional sentiment I decided to play with the background more and kinda went nuts. I was adding dots in the “empty” areas between stenciled florals using my white gel pen. Then I decided to add highlights to the letters using the same pen. After that I toned down the background by applying a white pigment ink onto it. I was using Detailed Blending Brushes for that which happened to be awesome for that task. I was able to blend white ink into all nooks and crannies of my card.
To make the sentiment strip I used the Mega Greetings 2 Stamp Set and several quite sequins finished off the card.
