UNUSUAL COLOR WAY
If there is a call for trying out unusual (or not traditional) color schemes – I’m here for it. The new Gradient Cardstock Set – Coffee Break inspired me for this one. Of course I used the new Craft-A-Flower Set to pair with it.
For leaves I used the Gradient Cardstock Set – Red Sunset, I really like how browns and reds look together.
Of course some black splatters add even more interest and drama.
For the card base I opted a Parchment Cardstock to match the flowers color.
BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL
Speaking of striking color schemes. Blue and Mustard is another one I’m loving recently. For my next card I used blue shades for the flowers and mustard for leaves and background.
To make leaves the Gradient Cardstock Set – Summer Afternoon was used. For flowers I used blue cardstock scraps. We all have those scraps (I save even tiny bits) and you can totally pick up some of those to use for a layered element. Buying a gradient cardstock is not a must 🙂
I used the Watercolor Stripes Cover Die for the background panel. Die cutting it out of a yellow cardstock and then ink blending on top. The same gradient blending (just a tad bolder) I did on a panel of the same cardstock which I placed underneath the Watercolor Stripes die cut.
A white embossed onto a black strip sentiment works literally for any project. I keep some premade one in a dedicated bot to then quickly add to a card.
