ALTENEW PAINT-A-FLOWER: SUNFLOWER
Here is the new beautiful flower, great for coloring and more. I really like sunflowers and is excited about this release.
ALTENEW WOODLESS WATERCOLOR PENCILS
There is another product that we feature in this release – Woodless Watercolor Pencil 24 Set.
In case you thought your watercoloring collection couldn’t get any better, think again. Create stunning watercolor effects with our Woodless Watercolor Pencils!
This set includes a wide range of beautiful, vibrant colors, and each pencil comes pre-sharpened and ready to use. You can either apply the color onto paper and blend with a wet brush, or pick it up with the brush directly from the pencil. The pigment dissolves smoothly, leaving no marks on the paper, and the colors can be easily mixed and layered for various effects.
This set contains 24 pencils that come in 24 unique colors.
Unfortunately due to shipment issues, the Woodless Watercolor Pencil 24 Set are currently out of stock. If you’re interested in this product you can sign up for a back in stock notification email on a product page they know once it’s back in stock in Atenew shop around 11/11/2020.

CARD
As you may guess I colored the sunflowers using the new pencils. I color with pencils quite rarely and it was interesting to play with this new product. The majority of pencils that I own you need to put a lot of labor to color with (one of the reason I don’t reach to them often lol).
The new pencils from Altenew are watercolor ones – you just need to put a little bit of pigment and them blend it out with water.
So first I stamped them onto a watercolor panel using a light brown ink. And then moved on to coloring.
I was using a water brush to bled out pigment applied with pencils.
After coloring each flower with a base color I was adding details with a darker color.
The background I decided to make a dramatic pink. When I finished coloring I added a lot of small white splatters onto the panel.
Also to add some interest I torn the panel edges and wrapped a Natural Burlap String around it. Followed by foam mounting the panel onto a Parchment card base.
Lastly I added several Snow Crystals.
