Altenew | Heart Balloon Birthday Card

Hi friends!

A couple days ago Altenew released a new product – Mini Delight: Birthday Love. There is an Instagram Blog Hop celebrating this release is going on now (which means – lots of ideas and inspiration a chances to win a prize).

As you may notice from the stamp set name – it’s a mini one. Which doesn’t mean that you’re limited with the designs you can create with them. There are several classic rules in design and in case of smaller stamps I think repetition works the best.

I started making the card bu stamping three balloons using the Yellow Ochre and Pumpkin Pie Dye Inks. Then I die cut them with the matching die.

Next I took a white panel and blended the Tide Blue Dye Ink onto it, followed by blending the Starlight Dye Ink along the page edges. Then I sprayed the panel with water using my Distress Sprayer and added white and gold spray splatters.

Then I white embossed the sentiment onto a black strip and popped it up onto the panel. Which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base. Lastly I added several gold sequins.
