CARD

For my card I decided to do what I never did (or at least I don’t remember) – color the new beautiful flower with alcohol markers refills. I love working with alcohol markers, but never actually colored with them. And I should say it was a very fun experience.

As I working surface I chose a glossy side of an Alcohol Ink Cardstock (that has been laying in my stash FOR AGES). First I stamped the flower using Obsidian Pigment Ink. I let the ink sit a bit on a surface and then wiped it off with a paper towel. This ink didn’t dry completely on the coated glossy cardstock, after wiping off very faded, ghost if you will, stamping impression was left. And it was exactly what I needed – just a ghost stamping of an image to see where to color, but something that won’t be seen under a white embossing I did later.

Next I colored the flower using marker refills from the Warm and Cozy and Tropical Forest Sets. For coloring I was using my Alcohol Ink Tool Set, but I believe any not expensive synthetic brush will do (I would dedicate them for only using with alcohol inks tho).

I was coloring the way I’d color with liquid watercolors. I was squeezing some ink onto a glass mat and picking it up with a brush. If I needed “water” (to dilute ink or to re-wet one that was drying out) – I used alcohol blending solution.

After I finished coloring I white embossed the Anemone Stamp Set on top.

Then I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base. Followed by popping up a white embossed on a black strip sentiment on top.

Lastly I added several sequins to accentuate the card.
