DRAMATIC OPEN BLOOM
I used the new Open Bloom 3D Die Set to create yet another dramatic card. I know that many people are afraid to use black or dark backgrounds for a card. For me though it’s an always winning solution.
So first I die cut elements for several flowers and leaves using Cherry Blossom and and Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock Set and then stacked the layers of each element using a liquid and dimensional adhesive.
Next I made a card base out of a Jet Black Cardstock. I wanted to add pink splatters onto the card, to coordinate with the pink blooms. But adding any color onto a black cardstock can be tricky. An ink spray wouldn’t work as they usually have dye colorant and it wouldn’t be visible on a black background. So instead I used a white acrylic paint to add splatters. After the paint dried I colored over splatters with a pink alcohol marker. The beauty of alcohol markers is that they can work on any non porous surface.
After that I adhered all my die cut elements onto the card. Some of them I adhered flat and some popped up using both thin and regular adhesive foam squares.
Next I popped up the sentiment strip. Which I made by white embossing a sentiment onto a black cardstock. Lastly I added several pink crystals.
ELEGANT HAND DRAWN TILE
The new Hand-Drawn Tile Stencil is very beautiful and quite helpful if you need to make a quick card. You can ink blend or spray or apply an embossing paste through it, add a sentiment and call it a card. That’s basically what I did here. s.
I used a Winter Clouds Cardstock for my panel and applied the Embossing Paste through the stencil. Then I added Jet Black Ink Spray splatters.
After that I foam mounted the panel onto a white card base. Popped up the sentiment and added several Snow Crystals.

Your cards are great! The pink flower on the black background is striking! When I first saw the 6 by 6 stencil, I didn’t know where to cut it off on a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 card. Your card showed that I could cut it off and the card would be beautiful — just like yours.
