FALL LEAVES
For my first card I used the Dot Botanicals Stamp Set.
I stamped the leaves base (solid) layer onto a white cardstock. I was using ombré stamping technique to add some interest to this later. I first stamped a whole image with a lighter orange ink, then I inked up a stamp with a darker ink applying ink only onto the leaves bases and stamped it over the first later. I have inks I used linked below, in case you’re interested in exact ones I used. Of course any dye inks that you have will work as well.
After that I stamped the corresponding dotted designs and die-cut the leaves using the matching dies.
I made a panel out of a white cardstock and stamped the A Walk In The Woods background stamp onto it using light gray ink. Followed by blending the same ink onto the panel.
Next I stamped the sentiment in orange onto the panel and foam mounted it onto a white card base. Followed by adhering the leaves in the top left corner.
To finish off the card I added several clear droplets.
“FALL” BOUQUET
For my second card I used the Rosy Outlook Stamp Set. The quotes in the name of this card express my failed intention to make a fall card. I know that roses are not exactly fall flowers, but I wanted to make a fall card. First because it’s the season and also I wanted all my cards to be in similar color scheme (so they look cohesive in the group photo – blogger problems urgh). So since the flowers themselves are not very tallish I decided to implement the idea with the color scheme. I chose brown inks for flowers and buds and red for leaves. As those colors you definitely find among fall foliage.
And when I was deciding on the background color I ended up choosing red as well. My initial idea was to make red gradient using the same inks I used for leaves. That’s where the fail started. I’m not very good at gradients as I tend to go darker with my blending and since the inks I was working with are quite dark and don’t have much difference in their intensity gradient didn’t really happened. I just made a very deep red background.
Side note – all inks I used are in the video description.
So I ended up having rather bloody than fall card lol. But I actually really like how it turned out. Very interesting and dramatic color scheme.
To spice up the background I added splatters of clear water as well as Perfect Pearls water.
The flowers and leaves I stamped onto a white cardstock and die-cut with the matching dies.
I adhered them onto the mentioned panel, which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base.
Lastly I popped the sentiment, which was stamped in red on white and cut out with scissors.
BLEACHED IMAGE
Another great floral set in this release is Precious Peony. Here I used very fun, oldie but goodie technique of bleaching color cardstock with bleach. And in this case I’m talking about real bleach, not “bleach” aka water used to bleach out inked backgrounds.
So I white embossed the flower onto an orange panel, added bleach onto all elements of it (I used a water brush to apply it), let it sit for a bit and dabbed with paper towel. Then I colored the image with Artist Markers.
I also added bleach splatters onto the panel. Which then was foam mounted onto a white card base.
To finish off the card I added a white sentiment and Snow Crystals.
BOKEH FALL BACKGROUND
For my last card I used the Hello Winter Stamp Set. Despite its name the of this set it can be used for fall cards as well. As you can see on my card below.
The set has a stamp which I believe is meant to make snowfall. I used it to make a bokeh background. In case you don’t know the term (which I’m sure you do) – bokeh effect is that blur produced by off focus elements on a photo.
I grabbed a practice (aka failed) background that I made using Watercolor Markers Refills from my stash and stamped the mentioned stamp onto it many time in different directions using the white ink.
Then I adhered it onto a white card base.
I die-cut a circle out of white and die-cut a fall leaf from the With Gratitude Die Set inside of it. The circle then was popped up onto the card.
I white embossed a sentiment onto an orange strip and popped it up onto the circle.
Several Snow Crystals finished off my card.

Wow! Fantastic Fall cards! I especially like the background you used for the first one and think it’s really neat that you bleached on colored cardstock and then used markers to color the image. I didn’t realize we could color on top of the bleach. Will have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

I confess, I haven’t done a lot of blog hops, but this one has been fun, and hitting the link for your blog was like turning a corner and WHAM! It’s FALL! I Love the spray of leaves over the Walk in the Woods background stamp (which I happened to have gotten myself last week). Your Fall Roses card reinforces your color scheme and really helps make your cards into a cohesive group. That bleached card is absolutely stunning, but raises so many questions for me. Does the bleaching action stop after it’s dry? Does the chlorine degrade the paper over time? And I love, love, love that you were able to use the falling snow stamp to take a background you weren’t happy with and turn it into something gorgeous (and to effectively use a “winter” stamp in a way that is useful all year). Thanks for such a great stop on the blog hop!
Your beautiful cards with the autumn colors made my heart ache. We won’t have our usual gorgeous Fall season this year. Our weather here in Montana went from Summer to Winter and skipped our lovely Fall season entirely. One day it was sunny with 70+ degrees and the next a foot of snow with -30 degrees. So I really enjoyed your cards – thank you!

Gorgeous cards, really stunning and I love the vibrant colors! The bleached out orange flowers and orange leaf cluster from Dot Botanical cards are sooo pretty. Love your fall bouquet in the rich reds and yellow and my favorite is your leaf card with the “failed” ink refill background, brilliant to turn that into a bokeh effect look!
