Today I want to share a card which I made for Altenew Instagram Blog Hop. Altenew has reached 50K Instagram subscribers and is celebrating this milestone with the very first Instagram blog hop. There are a lot of prizes and inspiration from very talented designers on this hop. Very worth checking out.
I wanted to blog this card anyways.
For my card I used a very beautiful, one of my probably favorite stamp sets ever – Build-A-Flower Rose. This rose has 6 (!!!) layers and it’s quite big. All those layers make it very realistic. And with such size it makes it quire easy to quickly create a gorgeous card. Just stamp a couple of roses, add to the card, Bob’s your uncle.
I choose a light yellow-blue color scheme for this card. The inks I used are listed below. To make the elements of my card lighter I skipped bottom layers of both roses and leaves.
First I die-cut all elements out of a white cardstock and then stamped onto the die-cuts placing them into one of a corresponding negative spaces.
After stamping I adhered them all onto an Icy Mint card base.
I white embossed a Birthday Builder sentiment onto a strip of a light green cardstock and popped it onto the card.
Lastly I added several Snow Crystals.

Gorgeous card! I’m not on Instagram so I’m really glad you shared this beautiful card here. I like the way you used a soft blue for the tiny flowers instead of a harsh black. Not sure I would have thought to do that but I definitely will in the future. Thanks for sharing!
